Greetings and salutations,
I apologize that I missed getting you a newsletter in April. Honesty it slipped out of my mind and I have no excuse other than pure forgetfulness.
I hope that all of you are well as the school year raps up this month. It seems that no matter what time of year it is we are always too busy and your kids are no exception. Right now they are working on projects that you just found out about. They are getting ready for end of year concerts, ball tournaments, and hopefully studying for those end of year tests. Then when you add Mother's Day and Memorial Day plans, family reunions, and a plethora of other activities in, we shouldn't be shocked when we are overwhelmed.
However in the midst of all this activity, let us not miss the opportunities that God gives to show our kids what is most important. To show them what it looks like to rest in God's goodness. We must show them that He can give peace to the storms we often create. We need to lead our kids to depend on the one who is always dependable. Let's face the facts, we all learn better when we experience His goodness rather than only hearing about it in church. Show them that God is the one who will make it right in the end, even when you might not know how He is gonna do it. That is faith.
As we end the school year there are only a few events coming up to remind you all about. Our biggest need is in VBS Leann is still looking for crew leaders, so if you are available to help please let her or myself know and we will get you placed. It will be a great week for both the kids and for you as an adult worker. I will never cease to be amazed at what an impact one week of work can have on a kids life.
I pray that your familes are well and look forward to what God has in store for the future.
